Sheba - Delightful Place for an Indian
While some may consider Sheba a landmark on Brick Lane, many know it as one of the most exquisite Indian restaurants in East London. Sheba is home at 136 Brick Lane and has been providing traditional Indian cuisine for over 35 years closer to 40 years.
As you step through the doors, you are transported to the land of India through the aroma of the delectable foods, the soft classical Indian music, and of course the friendly staff that welcome you as a special guest.
Sheba is not only known for its wonderful recipes such as Roshun-E-Murgh a delightful chicken with garlic treat but also for their excellent chef, Abdul Majid, who has over 20 years experience creating magnificent Indian dishes that tantalize the taste buds.
Along with offering some of the most delectable cuisine and atmosphere in their establishment, they also have a party/function/banquet room. Here you will be able to conduct a meeting of any type using their DVD player or digital plasma screen while treating up to 30 guests the wonderful treats for their palates.
Sheba is proud to have won several awards throughout the years along with various recommendations from restaurants critics such as Europe Food Guide, Sweden TV, BBC, and the Daily Mirror to name a few.
Many of the traditional Indian dishes found at Sheba’s are exclusive to the restaurant, which include Gosth-E-Laziz a minced lamb, barbecued and cooked into a spicy dish, and Maach Tarkari a traditional fish curry from Bangladesh. Along with these specialty treats, you will also enjoy the various traditional Indian dishes including dupiaza, Khorma, and Saag to name a few.
